Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Setting: Acute care telemetry / progressive care overflow unit
• Location: Asheville, NC 28801
• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: May be required to float to other units as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required; telemetry nursing or progressive care experience strongly preferred
• Telemetry competency required
• BLS and ACLS required
• Ability to work in a mixed medical-surgical and step-down environment
• Positive, compassionate, team-oriented approach to patient care

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced telemetry and progressive care setting
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, efficient patient flow
• Care for short-stay and overflow patients with varying acuity levels
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
• Support a culture of teamwork, compassion, and excellent patient experience
