Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• 18 months of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele or a closely related acute care specialty
• Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at the time of submission
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• One reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
• Ability to complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• Willingness to complete required onboarding, compliance steps, and pre-start modules on schedule
• Must meet all facility screening and compliance requirements

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients in an acute care hospital setting
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing standards
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support patient recovery, discharge planning, and continuity of care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly in the electronic health record
• Respond to clinical changes with strong nursing judgment and appropriate escalation
• Maintain a patient-centered, team-oriented approach in a busy hospital environment
