ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Contract in Bowling Green, Kentucky

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently in a high-acuity hospital setting
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented approach to patient care
  • Comfort with advanced monitoring equipment and complex critical care patients

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU/CCU
  • Monitor patients with complex needs and respond quickly to changes in condition
  • Assist with procedures such as central line insertions and dialysis catheter insertions
  • Care for patients using advanced equipment including hemodynamic monitoring systems, temporary pacemakers, Impella, IABP, EKOS, and Arctic Sun
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, high-quality patient outcomes
  • Adapt to rotating floating needs while contributing to a positive, supportive unit culture
