- Shift Duration: 8-hour days
- Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, or 4 ten-hour shifts from 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- Call Requirement: On-call rotation with a small team of RNs
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- EMR: Epic
- Contract Focus: Interventional radiology procedures in a high-acuity procedural environment
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience preferred
- Experience with conscious sedation under the supervision of a radiologist
- Comfort monitoring patient vitals during invasive procedures
- Preferred experience in interventional radiology or cath lab
- Experience in the ED or ICU is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-based setting
- Willingness to complete computer-based training and orientation before clinical start
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
- Prepare patients for invasive procedures and support a safe, efficient workflow
- Monitor vital signs and respond appropriately throughout procedural care
- Assist with conscious sedation in accordance with established protocols and provider direction
- Collaborate closely with technologists, radiologists, and fellow nurses to deliver high-quality patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
- Participate in on-call rotation and support departmental coverage needs
- Help create a positive, patient-centered experience in a specialized procedural setting
