Job Details

• Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) / Perioperative Nurse
• Employment Type: Travel RN Assignment
• Location: Muscle Shoals, Alabama
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,070 - $2,180
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Schedule: Monday through Thursday; late stays as needed; no scheduled cases after 5:00 PM daily
• Orientation: Weekly on Mondays
• Float Requirement: May float to PACU if needed
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
• Associate degree required
• ACLS and BLS required
• PALS preferred
• Strong experience supporting general surgery and related specialty cases
• Professional, team-oriented approach with excellent clinical judgment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient perioperative nursing care in the operating room
• Assist with a variety of surgical procedures including general surgery, plastics, pain management, ophthalmology, endoscopy, colonoscopy, and vascular cases
• Support common procedures such as laparoscopic cholecystectomy, wound debridement, port insertion/removal, and fistulograms
• Maintain readiness in a fast-paced surgical environment with a strong focus on patient safety
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative team
• Provide support for PACU coverage when needed
• Contribute to a professional, positive work environment
