- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,740-$1,840
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Unit Type: Med/Surg Tele / Neuro Tele
- Setting: Short-term acute care hospital
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Charting System: EPIC experience required
- Orientation: 12 hours
- Floating: May float between units as needed
- Call: Not required
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Compact RN license must be in hand at submission, if applicable
- At least 1 year of recent nursing experience required
- Med/surg and telemetry nursing experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- Experience interpreting and managing cardiac dysrhythmias strongly preferred
- Previous neuro telemetry, stroke care, or neuro nursing experience is a plus
- Comfort working in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment
- Experience with electronic health records required; EPIC preferred
- Ability to work scheduled weekends and holidays as assigned
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to med/surg telemetry patients with medical-surgical and neurologic needs
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry changes
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care for patients with stroke, seizure, and neurosurgical conditions
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital and clinical standards
- Perform focused neuro assessments and recognize changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, rapid response teams, and other disciplines to support patient outcomes
- Support patients and families through education, communication, and compassionate bedside care
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
- Follow infection prevention, isolation, and safety protocols
- Contribute to a positive, high-performing team culture in a collaborative healthcare setting
