• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,740-$1,840
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Unit Type: Med/Surg Tele / Neuro Tele
• Setting: Short-term acute care hospital
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Charting System: EPIC experience required
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Floating: May float between units as needed
• Call: Not required

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Compact RN license must be in hand at submission, if applicable
• At least 1 year of recent nursing experience required
• Med/surg and telemetry nursing experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Experience interpreting and managing cardiac dysrhythmias strongly preferred
• Previous neuro telemetry, stroke care, or neuro nursing experience is a plus
• Comfort working in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment
• Experience with electronic health records required; EPIC preferred
• Ability to work scheduled weekends and holidays as assigned

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to med/surg telemetry patients with medical-surgical and neurologic needs
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry changes
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care for patients with stroke, seizure, and neurosurgical conditions
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital and clinical standards
• Perform focused neuro assessments and recognize changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, rapid response teams, and other disciplines to support patient outcomes
• Support patients and families through education, communication, and compassionate bedside care
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
• Follow infection prevention, isolation, and safety protocols
• Contribute to a positive, high-performing team culture in a collaborative healthcare setting
