- Position: Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PCU RN) / Stepdown RN
- Location: Cincinnati, OH 45211
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890

Job Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice or compact licensure eligibility
- At least 1 year of registered nurse experience required
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire; BLS strongly preferred
- NIH Stroke Certification preferred
- PCU, stepdown, progressive care, or acute care hospital experience preferred
- Ability to manage dysrhythmias and respond to changing patient conditions
- Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process from assessment through evaluation
- Monitor and manage patients with complex medical conditions in a progressive care unit setting
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards and policy
- Support patients and families through education, coordination, and compassionate communication
- Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Recognize changes in patient status and respond quickly with appropriate clinical action
- Maintain accurate documentation and promote patient safety at all times
- Use evidence-based practice to help improve patient outcomes and unit performance
