Travel Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse Job in Cottonwood, AZ

Seeking a Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Cottonwood, Arizona. Join a supportive acute care team in Northern Arizona and provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients in a teaching-focused, Level IV trauma setting with Cerner charting.

• Setting: Short-term acute care, teaching facility, Level IV trauma hospital
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 8/31/2026
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required between Med/Surg Tele units based on unit needs
• Charting System: Cerner
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710-$1,800

Job Requirements

• 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry or closely related acute care nursing experience
• Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Strong telemetry monitoring skills, including dysrhythmia interpretation, IV starts, and neuro/stepdown care
• Comfortable working in a flex pool and floating to other units as needed
• Experience with Cerner preferred
• Open to first-time travelers
• Willingness to work 2 recognized holidays during the assignment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric Med/Surg Tele patients
• Monitor telemetry, identify rhythm changes, and respond appropriately to patient needs
• Administer medications and support patient safety standards, including BCMA practices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and physical therapy
• Support patients requiring standard Med/Surg Tele equipment and acute care services
• Float to other Med/Surg Tele areas as census and staffing needs change
• Maintain clear documentation and uphold facility quality and patient safety expectations
