Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med-Surg Unit (MSU) night shift position requiring both adult and pediatric med-surg experience.

Details

• Work on a 20-bed medical-surgical unit serving both adult geriatric and pediatric patients
• Staffing ratios are typically 4:1 (max 5:1) for non-COVID patients and 2:1 (max 3:1) for COVID patients
• 12-hour night shift schedule, alternating between 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next
• Up to 1 on-call shift per week required
• Must be flexible to work days, weekends, and holidays as needed
• May be assigned to help cover flu immunization clinics as needed
• Floating to other qualified departments occasionally required, including patient care or task-based duties

Requirements

• , (Standard or Compact) currently active
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum of 3 years of med-surg nursing experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of pediatric experience required
• Must be comfortable working with both adult and pediatric patient populations

Additional Information

• , Provide direct nursing care to adult and pediatric med-surg patients
• Attend staff meetings as required
• Maximum of two shift call-offs permitted during the assignment
• RTO requests for Thanksgiving and Christmas will not be accommodated
• Orientation occurs on Mondays only; missing the compliance deadline will push start to the next scheduled orientation date
