Travel Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) - 13-Week Assignment in Flagstaff, Arizona

Travel to Flagstaff, AZ 86001 for a 13-week Med/Surg Telemetry RN assignment in a dynamic acute care setting. This welcoming on-site location offers a great opportunity to bring your telemetry nursing skills to a supportive interdisciplinary team while caring for adult and geriatric patients in a teaching, Level IV trauma hospital with float opportunities across related units.

• Location: Flagstaff, AZ 86001
• Healthcare Setting: Short-term acute care, teaching hospital, Level IV trauma environment
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required; may float between Med/Surg Tele units and related care areas based on staffing needs
• Charting System: Cerner
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 on days, 1:5 on nights
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,770 - $1,870

Job Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Strong experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Comfort working in a flex-pool environment and floating to related units as needed
• Skilled in medication administration, IV therapy, isolation precautions, and patient safety practices
• Experience with Cerner preferred
• ICU or PCU experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric Med/Surg Tele patients
• Monitor telemetry, assess cardiac rhythms, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, complete nursing assessments, and support individualized care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, rapid response teams, and other healthcare professionals
• Float to other related units as needed while maintaining safe, compassionate patient care
• Document accurately in Cerner and uphold patient safety and quality standards
• Support patients with diagnoses including stroke, cardiac observation, orthopedic, trauma, and renal-related conditions
• Promote a positive, efficient, and team-oriented acute care environment
