• Setting: Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,200 - $2,320
• Start Date: September 14, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Self-scheduling with block scheduling available
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend may be required, depending on shift needs
• Charting System: EPIC
• Location: Peoria, IL

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• NICU or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Level III or Level IV NICU experience strongly preferred
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• Experience caring for micro-preemies preferred
• Comfort titrating drips per order and managing high-acuity neonatal patients
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in weekend coverage as needed
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary neonatal care team

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to critically ill and medically fragile newborns in a Level III NICU
• Monitor and manage infants with complex conditions, including respiratory and surgical needs
• Administer and titrate medications per provider orders, including commonly used ICU drips
• Support patients on conventional ventilation, CPAP, high flow, and other advanced respiratory therapies
• Collaborate closely with neonatologists, advanced practice providers, charge nurses, and respiratory therapy
• Respond quickly to changing patient conditions and participate in high-acuity neonatal interventions
• Float to related pediatric or neonatal areas as needed based on unit needs
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and contribute to a positive, team-oriented care environment
