This 17-week travel nursing assignment offers the chance to care for complex adult neuro and ICU patients while working alongside a supportive, collaborative team.
Overview: This night-shift ICU Registered Nurse role is ideal for an experienced critical care nurse who thrives in a fast-paced neuroscience critical care environment. You will support both ICU and IMC level patients, contribute to high-acuity care, and use your clinical judgment to make a meaningful impact every shift.

- Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Shifts Per Week: 3
- Shift Length: 12 hours
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
- Schedule Notes: Every other weekend required; some holidays may be required
- Setting: 12-bed neuroscience critical care unit supporting ICU and IMC patients
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in Wisconsin or a compact state
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
- ICU experience required
- Neurosurgery, neuro ICU, or neuroscience critical care experience preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- BLS and ACLS certification from AHA required
- Ability to provide care for both ICU and IMC patient populations
- Ability to pass a telemetry exam prior to start
- Must be willing to float as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care for adult neuroscience, neurosurgical, and stroke patients
- Monitor and manage patients with conditions such as ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, traumatic brain injury, hydrocephalus, aneurysm, seizures, and spinal cord injury
- Perform frequent assessments and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
- Manage advanced therapies and equipment, including EVDs, lumbar drains, and CereLink monitoring
- Administer and titrate vasoactive drips, sedation, and other critical care interventions as ordered
- Support ventilated patients, hemodynamic monitoring, feeding tubes, and other complex ICU needs
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow established clinical protocols
