Overview: This night-shift ICU Registered Nurse role is ideal for an experienced critical care nurse who thrives in a fast-paced neuroscience critical care environment. You will support both ICU and IMC level patients, contribute to high-acuity care, and use your clinical judgment to make a meaningful impact every shift.

• Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend required; some holidays may be required
• Setting: 12-bed neuroscience critical care unit supporting ICU and IMC patients

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Wisconsin or a compact state
• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
• ICU experience required
• Neurosurgery, neuro ICU, or neuroscience critical care experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification from AHA required
• Ability to provide care for both ICU and IMC patient populations
• Ability to pass a telemetry exam prior to start
• Must be willing to float as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care for adult neuroscience, neurosurgical, and stroke patients
• Monitor and manage patients with conditions such as ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, traumatic brain injury, hydrocephalus, aneurysm, seizures, and spinal cord injury
• Perform frequent assessments and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Manage advanced therapies and equipment, including EVDs, lumbar drains, and CereLink monitoring
• Administer and titrate vasoactive drips, sedation, and other critical care interventions as ordered
• Support ventilated patients, hemodynamic monitoring, feeding tubes, and other complex ICU needs
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow established clinical protocols
