• Orientation: 24 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160 - $2,270

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience in the CVICU or a closely related specialty
• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Experience with NextStage CVVH machine required
• Telemetry knowledge required; traveler must pass a telemetry exam prior to start
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Travel RN experience preferred
• Strong clinical background with comfort caring for adult and geriatric cardiac patients

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to CVICU patients with complex cardiac and thoracic conditions
• Monitor and manage patients recovering from CABG, valve repair/replacement, transplant, and other advanced cardiac procedures
• Care for patients requiring specialized support such as CRRT, IABP, Impella, LVAD, ECMO, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips in accordance with unit protocols
• Interpret dysrhythmias and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote safe, coordinated patient care
• Support patients and families with compassionate, attentive care in a fast-paced ICU environment
• Adapt to changing assignments and contribute to a highly collaborative team culture
