Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of 2 years of acute inpatient PCU RN experience
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • NIH certification or competency
  • Epic EHR experience required
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to provide safe, effective care in a high-acuity progressive care environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and reassessments according to policy and patient condition
  • Initiate, prioritize, and implement individualized plans of care for progressive care patients
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
  • Monitor, evaluate, and document responses to clinical interventions
  • Provide patient and family education throughout the stay and at discharge
  • Delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel
  • Serve as a mentor and preceptor to support nursing team development
  • Support teamwork, quality improvement, patient safety, and service excellence initiatives
  • Comply with regulatory standards, clinical protocols, and practice governance expectations
