• Work Setting: On-site acute care hospital

Job Requirements

• Active RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute inpatient Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Epic experience required
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to float within scope as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, and compassionate patient and family-centered nursing care
• Perform thorough assessments and reassessments based on patient condition and policy
• Develop, prioritize, implement, and revise individualized plans of care
• Monitor and document patient responses to interventions and clinical changes
• Educate patients and families throughout the stay and at discharge
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes
• Delegate appropriately to licensed and unlicensed personnel
• Support teamwork, quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance
• Serve as a mentor and promote professional growth within the unit
