Job Requirements
- Valid multi-state or Oklahoma Registered Nurse license
- BLS and PALS certification
- Epic experience required
- 0-6 months of related pediatric nursing experience
- Strong understanding of disease state management, bio-psychosocial care, and clinical pathways
- Excellent communication, organization, and prioritization skills
- Ability to review clinical and numerical data with accuracy and attention to detail
- Completion of an approved nursing education program
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process
- Develop individualized plans of care based on patient needs and unit guidelines
- Provide pediatric nursing care that reflects cultural and psychosocial considerations
- Prioritize tasks and perform nursing skills appropriate for the pediatric population
- Anticipate patient and unit needs in a fast-paced pediatric emergency setting
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Document care accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner
- Support patient teaching, discharge planning, and appropriate referrals
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support quality patient outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement efforts, education, and required in-services
- Complete variance reports and follow unit policies and procedures
