Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license or ability to obtain before start
• At least 1 year of recent emergency department nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• TNCC or TNS preferred
• Experience caring for trauma, stroke, burn, geriatric, and pediatric emergency patients
• Comfort working night shifts and every other weekend/holiday as scheduled
• Strong communication, critical thinking, prioritization, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced ER setting

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for emergency department patients with varying acuity levels
• Monitor, assess, and intervene for general ER, trauma, burn, and stroke patients
• Administer common emergency medications and manage standard ER drips
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, ED techs, and respiratory therapy staff
• Support safe, efficient patient flow in both the main ER and rapid medical evaluation area
• Document care accurately in EPIC and follow unit protocols and best practices
• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care while maintaining safety and professionalism
