- Schedule: 3 shifts per week
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000-$2,100
- Charting System: EPIC
- Care Environment: Level I trauma, burn, and comprehensive stroke center
Job Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license or ability to obtain before start
- At least 1 year of recent emergency department nursing experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- TNCC or TNS preferred
- Experience caring for trauma, stroke, burn, geriatric, and pediatric emergency patients
- Comfort working night shifts and every other weekend/holiday as scheduled
- Strong communication, critical thinking, prioritization, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced ER setting
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for emergency department patients with varying acuity levels
- Monitor, assess, and intervene for general ER, trauma, burn, and stroke patients
- Administer common emergency medications and manage standard ER drips
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, ED techs, and respiratory therapy staff
- Support safe, efficient patient flow in both the main ER and rapid medical evaluation area
- Document care accurately in EPIC and follow unit protocols and best practices
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality care while maintaining safety and professionalism
