• Shift: 10-hour evening shifts, 12:30 PM to 11:00 PM
• Call: Weeknight call required as needed to support cases into the evening
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,700 - $2,840
• Location: Peoria, IL 61637

Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• Minimum of 2 years of operating room experience in an acute care or hospital setting
• Robotic surgery and open surgery experience required
• Experience with firing staplers
• Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) required
• BLS certification required
• Ability to scrub and assist the surgeon in the operating room
• Experience with Epic OpTime preferred
• Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes
• Strong communication, teamwork, and perioperative nursing skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with general surgery cases in a fast-paced operating room environment
• Support procedures such as robotic colon surgery, hernia repairs, gastric sleeves, gastric bypasses, and cholecystectomies
• Scrub and provide direct surgical assistance as needed
• Work collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient case flow
• Prepare for and participate in evening call coverage when needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and workflow in the Epic charting system
• Promote a positive, patient-centered experience throughout every phase of surgical care
• Support quality patient outcomes through effective perioperative care and clinical support
