Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent cardiac stepdown, intermediate care, or similar specialty nursing experience
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Current AHA ACLS certification required
• NIHSS preferred
• Experience caring for intermediate and stepdown-level patients
• Ability to work reliable night shifts and meet a 36-hour weekly schedule

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and intermediate medical patients
• Monitor and manage patients with high-risk respiratory needs, including RA to BiPAP or Optiflow support
• Care for a varied population, including thoracic surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, and head and neck surgery patients
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support safe, effective patient outcomes
• Assess, document, and respond to changes in patient condition in a timely and professional manner
• Deliver compassionate bedside care while using strong clinical judgment in a dynamic hospital environment
