- Schedule: Includes 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890

- Setting: 44-bed general surgery unit with telemetry capability
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license and eligibility to work in North Carolina
- Telemetry RN competency required
- BLS certification required
- Strong experience caring for urology and bowel patients
- Ability to manage 6-7 patients depending on shift
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced med-surg and surgical telemetry environment
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and bedside nursing skills
- Experience with Cerner is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to telemetry and general surgery patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer and manage treatments such as TPN, PCA, IV antibiotics, and heparin drips
- Care for patients with wound vacs, drains, urinary catheters, ostomies, PEG tubes, NG tubes, and dobhoffs
- Support recovery for patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures, including urology, bowel, hernia, thyroid, hysterectomy, mastectomy, and more
- Collaborate closely with charge nurses, providers, CNAs, and unit support staff
- Deliver compassionate, engaging patient care while maintaining a positive and professional presence on the unit
- Float to other med-surg areas as needed
