  • Facility: 25-bed ICU with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
  • Location: Lenexa, Kansas — a growing Kansas City metro community with convenient amenities, easy commute options, and a welcoming suburban feel

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience or critical care RN experience
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt in a dynamic hospital environment
  • Experience with neuro and trauma patients is a plus
  • Ability to work every 3rd weekend
  • Comfortable with self-scheduling and floating as needed

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill ICU patients
  • Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changing clinical conditions
  • Support complex critical care cases including open heart recovery, cardioversions, bronchoscopy, CRRT, and Impella
  • Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and support staff to promote excellent patient outcomes
  • Use strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in a high-acuity setting
  • Document accurately in the electronic medical record and follow established unit protocols
  • Contribute to a collaborative healthcare team focused on patient-centered care
