- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7p–7a
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 available
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730–$1,820
- Facility: 25-bed ICU with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Location: Lenexa, Kansas — a growing Kansas City metro community with convenient amenities, easy commute options, and a welcoming suburban feel
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience or critical care RN experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt in a dynamic hospital environment
- Experience with neuro and trauma patients is a plus
- Ability to work every 3rd weekend
- Comfortable with self-scheduling and floating as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill ICU patients
- Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changing clinical conditions
- Support complex critical care cases including open heart recovery, cardioversions, bronchoscopy, CRRT, and Impella
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and support staff to promote excellent patient outcomes
- Use strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in a high-acuity setting
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record and follow established unit protocols
- Contribute to a collaborative healthcare team focused on patient-centered care
