Job Details

• Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
• Employment Type: Travel contract
• Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
• Start Date: 9/14/2026
• End Date: 12/14/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
• Weekly Schedule: Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,620 - $1,700
• Unit Type: Emergency Room / Emergency Department
• Charting System: Epic preferred
• Orientation: 24 to 36 hours
• Scheduling Note: At least 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS required
• Comfortable working in a high-volume, high-acuity emergency department
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Trauma, community hospital, and LTAC experience preferred
• Strong clinical skills in triage, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, and critical care support
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Ability to work night shifts and provide care for patients across the lifespan

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in a busy Emergency Department
• Assess, stabilize, and monitor patients with a wide range of acute and emergent conditions
• Perform triage and prioritize care based on patient acuity
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies as ordered
• Support patients requiring ventilatory assistance, procedural sedation, or critical interventions
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively during handoffs
• Float to like units within scope as needed based on facility needs
