Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830-$1,930/week
- Setting: Home Health
- Location: Durham, NC 27703
- Start Date: 9/7/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Shift Duration: 8-hour days
- Hours per Week: 40
- On-Call: Open to on-call rotations; approximately 1 weekend per month
- Travel: Must be willing to travel up to 50-75 miles from the assigned care center
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment
- Charting: HomeCare HomeBase; OASIS proficiency required for RNs
- Weekly Productivity Expectation: 30 points per week
- Note: No guaranteed hours
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand
- Minimum 1 year of adult home health nursing experience or 1 year of hospice experience
- Recent experience with HomeCare HomeBase EMR within the last 6 months
- Recent OASIS experience within the last 6 months, or willingness to complete retraining during compliance
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance
- Willingness to complete home visits and attend periodic office meetings
- Ability to manage a dynamic territory and maintain timely clinical documentation
- Comfort with both local and traveler candidates at the same rate
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care in patients' homes according to physician orders, agency policies, and the nursing process
- Coordinate and direct home nursing services to support safe, effective patient care
- Complete comprehensive assessments, start-of-care visits, follow-up visits, and wound care services as assigned
- Travel to patients throughout the assigned territory and maintain flexibility with daily routing
- Document all visits accurately and within 24 hours of the appointment
- Support productivity goals while delivering compassionate, individualized patient care
- Supervise and evaluate home health aides and LPN/LVNs when applicable
- Maintain professional communication with the care team, physicians, and clinical leadership
- Adhere to safety, compliance, and charting requirements for all visits
