Job Details

• Position: Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (Med/Surg RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Location: Wilson, NC
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710 - $1,800
• Care Setting: Adult and geriatric medical-surgical unit
• Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend
• Documentation System: MEDITECH experience preferred
• Float Expectations: May float as a second nurse to Telemetry or the ED

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and current BLS certification
• NIH certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Medical-surgical nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience with MEDITECH preferred
• Ability to care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Associate degree in Nursing required
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach
• Flexible schedule availability to support unit needs

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients
• Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in status
• Administer medications and complete treatments according to clinical standards
• Support patients recovering from medical and surgical conditions
• Document accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to improve patient outcomes
• Assist with floating assignments as needed to support Telemetry or the ED
• Maintain a professional, family-oriented approach to patient care
