NICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment in Austin, TX

Join a high-acuity Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Austin, Texas, where you’ll provide expert care for fragile newborns in a collaborative, fast-paced NICU environment. This 13-week travel RN assignment offers the chance to work alongside an experienced interdisciplinary team in a well-equipped Level III/IV NICU while enjoying one of the most desirable cities in Texas.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Level III NICU experience
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Experience in a high-acuity neonatal care setting strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, team-oriented approach
• Ability to adapt quickly in a travel nursing assignment environment
• Professional appearance and adherence to unit dress code, including navy scrubs

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns in the NICU
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications, treatments, and neonatal interventions as ordered
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold safe clinical practices
• Support families with compassion, professionalism, and clear communication
• Follow unit protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient care environment
• Work effectively in a busy, high-acuity hospital setting with a positive and adaptable attitude
