- Assignment Length: 20 weeks
- Start Date: 09/21/2026
- Shift: 10-hour day shifts
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,000 - $3,160
- On-Call Coverage: Nights and weekends as needed
- Orientation: 16 hours of unbillable orientation
- Holiday Coverage: Expected to work 2 of the 3 holidays
Job Requirements
- Current RN license in Connecticut, or eligibility to obtain one
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Surgical Cardiology, Critical Care, and/or PACU experience
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Experience with Epic preferred
- Moderate sedation experience preferred
- Experience with pre- and post-procedure care preferred
- Hemodynamic monitoring experience preferred
- BSN preferred, or active enrollment in a BSN program
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care in the cardiac catheterization lab
- Support pre-procedure assessment and post-procedure recovery for cardiac patients
- Assist with cardiac and peripheral interventional procedures
- Monitor hemodynamic status and recognize changes promptly
- Support moderate sedation workflows as appropriate
- Collaborate closely with physicians and the care team to ensure safe, efficient patient care
- Respond to on-call needs during nights and weekends when scheduled
- Maintain flexibility to support unit coverage and patient flow
