• Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)
• Employment Type: Travel nursing assignment
• Location: Dickson, Tennessee (37055) — a welcoming community with a comfortable local atmosphere
• Duration: 8 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
• Schedule: Rotating weekends and holidays
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,570-$1,650
• Start Date: 09/21/2026
• Unit Setting: Women’s Services / LDRP

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Experience laboring and recovering the mother
• Ability to receive, transition, and assess the newborn
• Fetal monitoring education or experience
• Experience with inductions, including Pitocin and Cervidil
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• Fetal monitoring training required
• Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care for laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients
• Support active labor, inductions, and recovery care for mothers
• Perform newborn assessments and assist with transition after delivery
• Monitor fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Assist with C-sections, circumcisions, intra-uterine monitoring, and assisted deliveries as needed
• Recognize and respond to OB emergencies, including shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage when present
• Collaborate closely with a skilled, experienced nursing team in a supportive Women’s Services environment
• Float within the facility as needed based on unit demands
• Maintain patient safety, rounding, and documentation standards
