- Charting System: Cerner preferred
- Patient Population: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of professional nursing experience required
- Trauma Level II experience required
- Travel nursing experience required
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC required
- Strong background in high-acuity, fast-paced emergency care
- Ability to work effectively in a busy department with an average daily census of 165
- Comfortable caring for patients with a wide range of emergency, trauma, and critical care needs
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality patient care in the emergency department across all age groups
- Triage, assess, and prioritize patients in a busy, high-volume ER setting
- Support care for trauma, medical, behavioral health, and complex emergency presentations
- Administer medications, perform IV therapy, and manage emergency interventions as needed
- Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold department workflow and safety standards
- Contribute to a supportive team environment while adapting to changing patient needs
