Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse – 8-Week Contract in Trenton, New Jersey

We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (Med Surg Tele RN) for an 8-week contract opportunity in Trenton, NJ. This onsite telemetry nursing role offers the chance to work in a dynamic float pool environment across multiple campuses, caring for a diverse adult patient population in a fast-paced acute care setting. Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2020-$2130
• Location: Trenton, New Jersey
• Setting: Med/Surg Tele Float Pool
• Start Date: 9/15/2026
• Duration: 8-week contract
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Shift Duration: 12 Hour Nights
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Float Requirement: Will float between regional campuses
• EMR: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Job Requirements

• 2+ years of current Med/Surg Tele nursing experience required
• Active New Jersey RN license or Compact license required at time of submission
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current NIH certification required
• Ability to adapt quickly in a float pool environment and provide high-quality patient care across multiple units

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in Med/Surg and Telemetry settings
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and assess patients for changes in condition
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and clinical standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate and deliver patient-centered care
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Cerner
• Float between assigned campuses as needed to support patient care operations
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and quality care expectations
