• Setting: Cardiac Cath Lab / Interventional Cardiology
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts with call
• Schedule: 40 hours per week
• Call Requirements: 6-8 call shifts per month, plus weekend and holiday call as needed
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,250-$3,420
• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Charting System: EPIC
• Unit Highlights: 6-suite cath lab with a collaborative procedural team

Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab or related critical care nursing experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Ability to read cardiac strips confidently
• Experience titrating drips in a high-acuity setting
• Comfort working in a fast-paced acute care environment with emergent and scheduled cases
• Willingness to participate in call coverage, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to complete pre-employment screening requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
• Assist with STEMI, NSTEMI, heart failure, congenital, TAVR, MitraClip, and peripheral vascular cases
• Monitor patient status closely and respond quickly to changes during procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and the cath lab team to ensure efficient case flow
• Support emergent and routine cases while maintaining strong attention to detail
• Document accurately in EPIC and follow established procedural protocols
• Participate in call rotations and assist with after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage as assigned
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment focused on quality patient care
