- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts; every other weekend required
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,470 - $2,600
- Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly
- Float: May float to the Neuro ICU floor as needed
Job Requirements
- Current Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission
- 3+ years of related ICU nursing or neuroscience nursing experience required
- Experience with EVDs, lumbar drains, and arterial lines required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS education or certification required
- Ability to navigate basic web-based applications, including Epic EMR
- Comfortable working rotating day/night shifts and every other weekend
- Travel nurses must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to Neuro Intermediate Care and Neuro ICU patients
- Monitor patients with arterial lines, EVDs, lumbar drains, and vasoactive infusions
- Care for post-op neurological patients and acute thrombectomy cases
- Support administration of therapies such as TPA when clinically indicated
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate safe patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
- Provide exceptional care in a setting with an approximate patient ratio of 1:3
