• Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift Duration: 12 Hour Nights
• Schedule: Every other weekend; flexibility required to meet department needs
• Setting: High-volume Emergency Department
• Work Environment: No floating outside the ED, but flexibility to support all areas within the department
• Documentation System: Cerner

Job Requirements

• Active RN license and ability to work in a fast-paced emergency care setting
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year of ER experience
• Experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume emergency department preferred
• Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Flexibility to work across all areas of the ED
• Current certifications required before start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS
• ENPC required within 90 days of hire
• Previous HCA experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered emergency nursing care in a busy emergency department
• Provide care to a diverse patient population with varying acuity levels, including behavioral health holds
• Support safe, efficient patient flow while maintaining strong communication and collaboration with the care team
• Use clinical judgment to respond quickly to changing patient conditions and emergency situations
• Maintain excellent patient experience standards, including respectful communication and ongoing patient updates
• Work collaboratively with techs, clerks, and other ED team members to ensure smooth operations
• Adapt to departmental needs and contribute to a welcoming, supportive team culture
