Job Details

• Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
• Call: Required
• Holidays: Required
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020-$2,130
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

Job Requirements

• Current RN license and active nursing credentials
• At least 2 years of operating room, surgical services, or perioperative nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS preferred
• Experience with General Surgery, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, Robotics, Urology, Hand Surgery, and Podiatry preferred
• Strong understanding of sterile technique, patient safety, and surgical workflow
• Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical environment
• Fingerprinting required for New Mexico travelers

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive circulating nurse care throughout the intraoperative phase
• Advocate for patient safety and maintain a secure operative environment
• Coordinate workflow and support efficient surgical case progression
• Prepare rooms, equipment, supplies, and documentation for surgical procedures
• Assist with specimen handling, medication administration, and perioperative communication
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other perioperative team members
• Anticipate procedural needs and respond to changing patient and case conditions
• Support evidence-based practice and maintain compliance with clinical standards and policies
