Job Details

• Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN / ED RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Location: Asheville, NC 28801
• Weekly Pay Estimate: $1,230 - $1,300
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours per Week: 36
• Schedule: Every other weekend; flexibility to support department needs
• Department: Emergency Department / Emergency Room

Job Requirements

• Active RN license and current credentials required for bedside emergency nursing care
• At least 2 years of nursing experience, including 1 year of recent Emergency Room experience
• Experience in a high-volume, high-acuity acute care environment preferred
• Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach, communicate, and adapt in real time
• Must be comfortable floating to all areas within the Emergency Department
• Required certifications prior to start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS
• ENPC required within 90 days of hire
• Experience with Cerner electronic health record documentation is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care to patients in a fast-paced emergency room setting
• Assess, prioritize, and manage patients with a wide range of acuity levels in the ED
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and unit clerks to support smooth patient flow and quality outcomes
• Deliver excellent patient experience through respectful communication and consistent updates
• Support care for medical patients and behavioral holds while maintaining a calm, professional approach
• Accurately document care, assessments, and interventions in the electronic health record
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment focused on patient safety and clinical excellence
