Job Details
- Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN / ED RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Location: Asheville, NC 28801
- Weekly Pay Estimate: $1,230 - $1,300
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Hours per Week: 36
- Schedule: Every other weekend; flexibility to support department needs
- Department: Emergency Department / Emergency Room
Job Requirements
- Active RN license and current credentials required for bedside emergency nursing care
- At least 2 years of nursing experience, including 1 year of recent Emergency Room experience
- Experience in a high-volume, high-acuity acute care environment preferred
- Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach, communicate, and adapt in real time
- Must be comfortable floating to all areas within the Emergency Department
- Required certifications prior to start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS
- ENPC required within 90 days of hire
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record documentation is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care to patients in a fast-paced emergency room setting
- Assess, prioritize, and manage patients with a wide range of acuity levels in the ED
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and unit clerks to support smooth patient flow and quality outcomes
- Deliver excellent patient experience through respectful communication and consistent updates
- Support care for medical patients and behavioral holds while maintaining a calm, professional approach
- Accurately document care, assessments, and interventions in the electronic health record
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment focused on patient safety and clinical excellence
