Job Details
- Position: CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Location: Boston, Massachusetts 02111
- Healthcare Setting: Acute care operating room / cardiovascular surgery
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: August 23, 2026
- End Date: November 22, 2026
- Schedule: 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470 - $2,600
- Charting System: Cerner
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of recent nursing experience required
- CVOR nursing or operating room experience strongly preferred
- Ability to scrub and circulate cardiac surgery cases
- Level I trauma center experience required
- Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Current BLS certification required
- Travel nurse experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and confidence in a high-acuity surgical environment
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled perioperative nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room
- Scrub and circulate complex cardiac procedures, including heart transplants, aortic dissections, CABG, and valve surgeries
- Support additional operating room cases when cardiac volume allows
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiology, and perioperative team members to promote safe, efficient patient care
- Maintain a sterile, organized, and patient-focused operating room environment
- Deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical setting
