• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Shift Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Orientation: 2 shifts
• Charting System: MEDITECH

Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license required to submit
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience in an acute care or critical care setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience titrating critical care drips and managing complex ICU patients
• Strong clinical confidence with codes, rapid response situations, and high-acuity care
• MEDITECH experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Comfortable floating to MedSurg, Tele, and ER with a full patient load as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in an 8-bed ICU
• Care for patients with diagnoses including sepsis, stroke, DKA, pneumonia, and post-cath recovery
• Monitor and manage critically ill patients with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2-3
• Titrate medications such as Levo, Neo, Propofol, Fentanyl, Precedex, Insulin, and TNK as clinically indicated
• Support and participate in running codes alongside the care team
• Collaborate with hospitalists, respiratory therapy, and support staff to deliver safe, efficient care
• Assist with telemetry strip monitoring and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
• Float to other units when needed while maintaining a high standard of nursing practice
