Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in New York, or proof of application with submitted date
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Med/Surg Tele or a closely related nursing specialty
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to start
• Recent EPIC experience within the past 2 years required
• CMSRN certification preferred
• Strong adaptability and comfort working in a float/resource pool environment
• Reliable transportation is strongly recommended due to limited public transit access in the area

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality patient care for adult Med/Surg Tele patients across assigned units
• Deliver nursing care for a varied patient population, including oncology, orthopedics, urology, and ED Hold patients
• Perform and monitor common unit procedures such as IV starts, bladder scans, blood draws from central lines, and glucose checks
• Support telemetry monitoring and collaborate with the healthcare team to respond to changing patient needs
• Float to assigned units as scheduled and adapt quickly to changing patient care priorities
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in EPIC
• Work effectively with nursing support staff and interdisciplinary team members
• Follow unit protocols, safety standards, and infection prevention practices at all times
