• Schedule Notes: Floating required; may support Med/Surg Tele, resource pool, and ED hold patients

RN Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing experience required
• Active New York RN license required at time of submission
• AHA BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to start
• Epic experience within the past 2 years is required
• CMSRN preferred
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and scheduled holidays
• Strong communication skills and a flexible, team-oriented approach

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality care to adult Med/Surg Telemetry patients
• Monitor telemetry patients and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Care for a mixed adult patient population that may include oncology, orthopedics, and urology patients
• Support ED hold patients when floated as needed
• Perform common clinical tasks including IV care, bladder scans, blood draws from central lines, and glucose checks
• Document accurately in Epic and follow unit protocols and best practices
• Collaborate with nursing and ancillary staff to promote efficient patient flow and quality outcomes
• Maintain a professional appearance and follow unit expectations for attire and conduct
