We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a Med/Surg Tele Resource Pool in Plattsburgh, NY. This travel nursing opportunity offers the chance to deliver high-quality patient care while working across medical-surgical and telemetry units in New York’s scenic North Country. Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, with every other weekend required and holidays worked as scheduled. This role includes floating within the med/surg telemetry resource pool and may also include ED hold support as needed.

Job Requirements

• Active New York Registered Nurse license, or proof of application with application date at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of specialty experience in Med/Surg Tele required
• AHA BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to start
• Recent EPIC experience within the last 2 years is required
• Strong adaptability and willingness to float as needed
• Reliable transportation recommended due to limited public transit access in the Plattsburgh area

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately to telemetry findings
• Perform IV therapy, bladder scans, glucose monitoring, and blood draws from central lines as needed
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Float to assigned Med/Surg Tele units and support ED hold patients when needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC
• Deliver professional, patient-centered care while adapting to changing unit needs
