Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Cardiac Telemetry, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience
• Ability to read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips
• Experience with post-cardiac procedural care, including ablations, cardiac catheterizations, post-op day 1 open heart patients, and permanent pacemaker placements
• Skilled in administering and titrating IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent patient experience

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for telemetry patients with a variety of cardiac and medical needs
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret telemetry strips, and promptly respond to changes in patient condition
• Care for post-cardiac procedure patients and support recovery through close observation and clinical assessment
• Administer medications and titrate IV drips according to patient condition and unit protocols
• Perform and assist with procedures such as IV insertions, NGT placement and maintenance, chest tube maintenance, temporary pacemaker care, and Foley insertions
• Collaborate with charge nurses, unit secretaries, PCTs, and the broader care team to support safe, efficient workflows
• Deliver compassionate, respectful care while maintaining strong patient communication and bedside professionalism
• Float to other areas as needed based on demonstrated competency
