- Duration: 17 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Schedule: Weekends and holidays as needed; voluntary on-call available
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910-$2,010
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 2 years of current Labor and Delivery experience
- Ability to circulate C-sections
- Advanced NRP certification
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- Experience with labor, antepartum, recovery, and couplet care preferred
- Willingness to float to Mother/Baby or assist as a sitter task RN when needed
- Ability to work in a Level III Trauma environment and maintain a 1:2 patient ratio
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for laboring, antepartum, and postpartum patients
- Monitor patients and newborns throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and couplet care
- Assist with and circulate C-sections as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and support staff to ensure smooth patient flow in a busy Labor and Delivery Unit
- Respond to clinical changes quickly and appropriately in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Support floating assignments to Mother/Baby or sitter task coverage when required
- Help maintain high standards of patient safety, communication, and teamwork
