Experienced Registered Nurse needed for a Med/Surg Tele travel assignment in Portland, Oregon (97225). Job Requirements

• 3+ years of recent nursing experience in Med/Surg Tele, telemetry nursing, or a similar acute care setting
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission; compact license accepted if applicable
• Current BLS and NIHSS certification required
• Strong telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition skills
• Experience with the Epic EHR required
• Peripheral IV insertion and maintenance experience required
• Comfortable caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Must be willing to float as needed within the division
• Reliable transportation required

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care for Med/Surg Tele patients in a busy acute care environment
• Monitor telemetry readings and promptly recognize changes in patient condition
• Perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and support individualized care plans
• Maintain safe peripheral IV access and complete related patient care tasks
• Document accurately in Epic and communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary care team
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to promote positive patient outcomes
• Adapt quickly to floating assignments within the Med/Surg Telemetry division as needed
• Deliver patient-centered care while maintaining appropriate ratios, workflow, and nursing standards
