• Setting: On-site, adult neuro medical-surgical hospital unit
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,660 - $1,750
• Orientation: 2 unit orientation shifts after hospital-based orientation
• Weekend Requirement: 12-16 weekend shifts per contract
• Float Requirement: Yes, within or near the facility as needed
• Scheduling: Manager-scheduled

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a compact license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS strongly preferred/required for submission
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Must pass EKG testing before start
• Experience caring for neuro patients preferred
• Open to floating and working scheduled weekends
• Ability to work night shift and adapt to a fast-paced medical-surgical environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to adult patients with neuro and medical-surgical needs
• Monitor neurological status and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and support telemetry and respiratory needs as indicated
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support recovery and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate effectively using SBAR
• Care for patients with stroke, CVA, isolation precautions, and related neurological diagnoses
• Work closely with charge nurses and the care team to maintain safe patient ratios
• Adapt to floating assignments and contribute to a flexible, team-oriented unit culture
