• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710 - $1,800
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Scheduling: Self-scheduling based on unit needs
• Patient Ratios: 1:2-4
• Floating: May float within pediatric, PICU, or nursery areas caring for infants up to 12 months

NICU RN Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of NICU nursing experience in a Level III or Level IV setting
• Experience caring for critically ill neonates and surgical infants
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Ventilator experience required
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and maintain 36 hours per week
• Open to floating as needed within related pediatric care areas
• Epic charting experience preferred
• NC RN license or Compact RN license acceptable; pending license may be considered for submission
• Ability to meet compliance and pre-start onboarding requirements in a timely manner

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to premature and critically ill neonates
• Monitor and manage infants requiring advanced respiratory support and ventilator care
• Assist with specialized neonatal procedures such as UAC/UVC management, therapeutic hypothermia, and nitric oxide therapy
• Care for infants with complex diagnoses, including surgical needs and hypoxic injury
• Support feeding, thermoregulation, and developmental care for newborns in the NICU
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote safe, effective patient outcomes
• Accurately document care and treatment using the assigned charting system
• Adapt to changing patient needs while maintaining a calm, professional approach in a high-acuity environment
