ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Contract – Olathe, Kansas

• Floating: Expected to float to PCU, CCU, and other inpatient units as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU / critical care RN experience
• Active Kansas RN license or compact RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification
• Experience with balloon pump, CRRT, Impella, and open heart patients required
• Must be comfortable drawing own labs, placing PICC-related support, and managing consults and codes independently
• Prior experience floating to PCU, CCU, med/surg, med/tele, acute/tele, and ED preferred
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to thrive in a high-acuity critical care setting

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill adult patients in a mixed ICU/PCU environment
• Care for neuro, spine, cardiac, medical, and surgical patient populations
• Monitor, assess, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Assist with advanced critical care interventions and procedures
• Manage patient priorities with a 2:1 critical care ratio, flexing to 3:1 as appropriate
• Collaborate with the care team to support safe, effective patient outcomes
• Float to additional inpatient units based on staffing needs and prior experience
• Complete orientation and onboarding requirements in preparation for assignment start
