- Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,500 - $1,580
- Float Areas: Pre-Op, Phase 2, and PAT
- Call Requirement: Rotating weekday and weekend call; one weekend every 4–5 weeks
- Team Environment: Supportive, collaborative unit with a strong focus on patient flow and quality care
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience required
- Prior Pre-Op nursing experience strongly preferred
- Meditech Magic experience required
- Competence in Pre-Op and Phase 2 recovery preferred
- Excellent IV skills
- Ability to take rotating weekday and weekend call
- Flexible schedule and willingness to float as needed
- BLS certification required
- Strong communication skills and a motivated, team-oriented attitude
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients preparing for surgery and recovering in short stay areas
- Complete thorough pre-operative assessments and support patient readiness for procedures
- Monitor patients using equipment such as EKGs, glucometers, and bedside monitoring systems
- Assist with a variety of surgical cases, including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Plastics, and Cath Lab patients
- Maintain accurate electronic documentation in the EMR system
- Deliver strong IV care and support efficient patient flow throughout the unit
- Float between Pre-Op, Phase 2, and PAT as needed
- Contribute to a positive, flexible team culture focused on excellent patient outcomes
