Bring your obstetric nursing experience to a collaborative team serving Labor & Delivery, Mother-Baby, Level II NICU, and Newborn Nursery patients. - Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
- Schedule: Every other weekend (Friday and Saturday night)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
- Charting Systems: Meditech Expanse and CPN (Centricity Perinatal)
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in Kentucky or compact license at the time of submission
- Minimum of 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience in a hospital-based obstetric setting
- Ability to circulate for cesarean sections
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications
- Strong clinical skills in maternity nursing, perinatal care, and newborn support
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to patients in Labor & Delivery, Mother-Baby, and newborn care settings
- Support vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, including circulating for C-sections
- Assist with inductions of labor using methods such as Cook catheters, Cervidil, and oxytocin
- Care for patients experiencing IUFD and other complex obstetric situations
- Perform IV insertion, lab draws, sterile vaginal exams, Foley catheter placement, and assist with epidurals
- Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia, and the care team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented unit culture focused on excellent patient care
