Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Ohio or compact state eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
• At least 1 year of acute care hospital experience preferred/expected for success in this role
• BLS and ACLS required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with patients and care team members
• Experience supporting post-op orthopedic patients is highly valued
• Comfort working with surgical drains, IV drips, and telemetry equipment
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and perform physical duties as needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process
• Perform ongoing assessments, identify patient needs, and prioritize care plans
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and policy
• Care for orthopedic, medical, and post-op patients with a variety of needs
• Manage patients with surgical drains, oxygen support, and selected IV therapies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and support discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery, and safety measures
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care at all times
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation and communicate changes promptly to the team
