Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent PACU nursing experience or closely related perioperative experience
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current PALS certification
- Cerner experience preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and assist with holiday coverage as needed
- Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and bedside communication skills
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality post-anesthesia nursing care to surgical patients in the PACU
- Monitor vital signs, airway status, pain levels, and overall recovery progression
- Identify changes in patient condition and respond with prompt clinical intervention
- Administer medications and recovery interventions according to protocol and clinical direction
- Prepare patients for safe transfer, discharge, or the next level of care
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiology, and perioperative team members to support quality outcomes
- Maintain accurate charting and uphold patient safety standards
