- Start Date: 09/21/2026
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,180 - $2,290
- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- Schedule: Rotating days and nights; weekend coverage and on-call may be required based on unit needs
- Floating: Required within the Women & Infants unit, with possible float support across the Denver metro region as needed
- Charting System: Epic
- Patient Ratio: 1:2
Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or a compact state
- Minimum of 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required
- Experience with rotating shifts, weekend coverage, and on-call expectations
- Strong clinical skills in obstetric, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care
- Ability to float within scope and adapt to changing unit needs in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Comfort working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary women’s health team
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate maternity care for laboring and postpartum patients
- Monitor fetal and maternal status and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and high-risk obstetric procedures
- Support triage, assessment, patient education, and care planning throughout the labor and delivery process
- Administer medications and manage IV therapies, including oxytocin and magnesium sulfate
- Perform and document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in Epic
- Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia, respiratory therapy, and other interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
- Maintain a calm, supportive environment for patients and families during delivery
